ReplyDeleteI'm about half and half in terms of prior familiarity with the bands on this, but it's great on both fronts. thanks to both of you, I guess :)
ReplyDeletegreat stuff again.thanks a lot !
ReplyDeletehey thanks......i see to remember gettin a zine called cle that had a purdy good flexi innit too
ReplyDeleteKevinass - UPLOAD THAT SHIT! That's got Dave E & The Cool Marriage Councilors!!
ReplyDeleteehhem...Please?
imagine that... im from (and still reside in ) Clevo, i have the flexi you guys are talking about, but NOT the zine; and ive never seen it either...ah well... also, i have the actual cd of this post, but not the zine (are we noticing a trend here??); which is what you got pictured. the CD sleeve is a B/W thingy with generic safety pins & lighning bolts spelling out "Cle" on the front. imo, the CD is pretty lame overall, but the stuff by X-X & Electric Eels is arguably the best stuff from either band!!! its ESSENTIAL just for that!!!
ReplyDeletehaha, this is worth it just for the "World up My Ass" cover (not that the rest ain't good as well).
ReplyDeleteSHIT!!! that last comment was NOT anonymous!! i forgot to put my name in...im 1/2 drunk...imagine that!!

Yeah, that Electric Eels track (Flapping Jets) is, I believe, exclusive to this comp. It's NOT the crummy version on 'Those Were Different Times', but a full blast clear as an air raid version clocking in at almost 8 minutes. Wedge! The Mad Daddy tracks are awesome, too!
ReplyDeleteboy i said i remember, not i know where it is! you should see the stack of crap that is my life.....
